Capacity Building for the promotion of gender equality and the prevention of family separation in Zugdidi

The project provided psychosocial support to socially vulnerable children aged 0-18 and their families, as well as economic strengthening for families, aiming to ensure children are raised and developed in a safe and caring environment and to improve family resilience.
Through the project, 430 children and 315 parents (a total of 182 families) were supported and empowered.

Supporting the Development of Small Group Homes in Georgia
In 2013, with financial support from UNICEF (the United Nations Children’s Fund), a Mother and Child shelter service was established in Georgia. The purpose of the service is to provide temporary shelter and a range of support services to mothers (primarily young, single parents) and their children under the age of 10 who are at risk of family separation to strengthen their ability to function independently.
