Project “Building Safe, Inclusive, and Eco-friendly Kindergartens in Tbilisi”

The aim of the project “Building Safe, Inclusive, and Eco-friendly Kindergartens in Tbilisi” is to improve the quality, safety, and inclusiveness of early education in Tbilisi kindergartens. Its main objectives include strengthening child protection practices, enhancing inclusive education approaches, increasing eco-education and environmental awareness, and reinforcing institutional capacities for professional development. The project will directly benefit 2,400 children enrolled in 12 Tbilisi kindergartens, 108 kindergarten staff members, and up to 400 parents.
The project is funded by SOS Children’s Villages Worldwide (SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit). It is a one-year project implemented from January 1 to December 31, 2026, in cooperation with the Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency.

In 2017, with financial support from the Austrian Ministry of Sports, the project “Promotion of healthy lifestyle in Ingiri, Zugdidi Municipality” was launched. The initiative focused on developing sports and play infrastructure—such as sports fields and playgrounds—in the village of Ingiri (Zugdidi Municipality), with the goal of promoting and strengthening healthy lifestyle habits among displaced children from Abkhazia living in the community
