Project “Building Safe, Inclusive, and Eco-friendly Kindergartens in Tbilisi”

The aim of the project “Building Safe, Inclusive, and Eco-friendly Kindergartens in Tbilisi” is to improve the quality, safety, and inclusiveness of early education in Tbilisi kindergartens. Its main objectives include strengthening child protection practices, enhancing inclusive education approaches, increasing eco-education and environmental awareness, and reinforcing institutional capacities for professional development. The project will directly benefit 2,400 children enrolled in 12 Tbilisi kindergartens, 108 kindergarten staff members, and up to 400 parents.

The project is funded by SOS Children’s Villages Worldwide (SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit). It is a one-year project implemented from January 1 to December 31, 2026, in cooperation with the Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency.

With funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) & SOS Kinderdörfer weltweit, Hermann-Gmeiner-Fonds Deutschland e.V. a 38-month project titled “VIBEs for Youth: Vision Building, Identity, Well-being, and Employability for Youth” is underway (2022–2025). This project is implemented by SOS Children’s Villages organizations in Georgia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan.
